Back in January, we were contacted by Pay It Forward Indiana and asked to participate in the 2011 Pay It Forward Week. We’re excited to partner with them to represent NE Indiana in this initiative. So, we’re encouraging all of you to participate by doing an Intentional Act of Kindness to someone unexpectedly.
Here are the details from the Pay It Forward Indiana website:
International Pay It Forward Day was a huge success in 2010. Over 28 Countries and roughly a half million people participated in “Paying it Forward” by doing random acts of kindness for others. Indiana was the ONLY state to follow with a full week of kindness called Indiana’s Pay It Forward Week!
It’s easy! Simply do something nice for one to three people and expect nothing in return. Simply ask them to “Pay It Forward” to someone else and help spread the word. It can be something as small as holding a door open for someone, smiling at a stranger, lending an ear to someone in need or as big as volunteering at a homeless shelter, giving blood, or organizing a food drive. The possibilities are endless!
Dates:
International Pay It Forward Day, April 28, 2011
